Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data litesports.be collects, why we need it, how long we keep it and how you can use your rights under the GDPR. We collect only what running a licensed betting account requires.

01Who is responsible for your data

The operator of litesports.be is the controller of your personal data. The legal entity and licence details will be published here once verified.

For any question about your data, or to use your rights, write to support@litesports.be or use the support form. Please mention “Privacy” in the subject so your message reaches the right person.

02What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, date of birth and, if you choose to give it, your phone number.
  • Verification: the result of the age and identity check carried out by our verification partner. We do not store copies of your ID documents.
  • Payments: deposits, withdrawals and balance changes. Card details are entered on the payment provider’s page and never reach our servers.
  • Betting activity: the bets you place, their prices, stakes and results.
  • Responsible gaming settings: your limits, session reminders, breaks and self-exclusions.
  • Security data: login attempts and the IP address used, which we need to slow down password guessing.
  • Support messages: what you send us through the form or by email, and our replies.

03Why we use it

  • Running your account, including bets, payments and settlement. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Legal checks: age and identity verification, the EPIS register check and anti-money-laundering obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  • Responsible gaming: applying your limits, breaks and exclusions, and spotting signs of harmful play. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  • Security: protecting accounts against misuse, such as locking login after five wrong passwords. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Support: answering your questions and complaints. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interest.

04What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Optional analytics run only with your consent and count page views and bet slip errors without personal or financial data.

We send no marketing at all during a break or self-exclusion.

05Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:

  • a payment provider, for deposits and withdrawals;
  • an identity verification partner, for age and identity checks;
  • a hosting provider, for running the site.

These providers will be named here once contracts are signed. We also share data with the Belgian Gaming Commission and other authorities where the law requires it, such as for the EPIS register check.

06How long we keep it

We keep account, transaction and betting records for as long as gambling and anti-money-laundering law requires. This can be up to ten years after the account closes, as Belgian AML law requires.

Data that no law requires us to keep, such as optional preferences, is deleted when it is no longer needed or when you close your account. Login security data is kept only as long as needed to protect the account.

07How we protect it

Passwords are stored only in hashed form. After five wrong passwords, login is locked for 15 minutes. Withdrawals and changes to limits or exclusions ask for your password again.

You can sign out every other device from My account, and changing your password does this automatically. Access to personal data inside our team is limited to the people who need it for their work.

08Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased, except where the law requires us to keep it;
  • restrict how we use your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • withdraw consent at any time, for example for analytics through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

To use these rights, contact support@litesports.be. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we never send your data to someone else.

09Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

10Cookies and browser storage

We use a few necessary cookies and browser storage entries to keep you signed in and remember your bet slip. Preferences and analytics are used only with your consent. The full list is in our cookie policy.

11Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use your data in a significant way, we tell you by email before it applies.
